Growing Garlic

Garlic is a great crop to grow. It is really easy, and requires barely any work. Plant it in the fall before the ground freezes, cut the scapes in the spring, and then harvest the garlic in the mid summer. Dry them over the summer, pick out the best cloves for next year, and start again.

Growing garlic can introduce you to biology, ecology, soil, life cycles, agriculture, and you get to eat the project!
